PaddleNSW membership information for the 2010-
PaddleNSW is affiliated with Australian Canoeing, which means that every PaddleNSW member is also a member of Australian Canoeing. Those members of PaddleNSW who wish to compete in National Championships in any paddlesport, or to seek selection in National Teams, must have category 9 Premium membership.
Category 1 : Standard Membership (Adults and Juniors)
If you are a member of a paddling club or a single recreational paddler, and you don’t wish to compete in National events, this is your membership category. You will be able to participate in any PaddleNSW activity knowing you are insured and that your paddling activity is properly conducted. PaddleNSW has many activities that will suit your paddling ability, and can offer you advice and resources as well.

Junior membership is available for paddlers between 12 yrs and 17yrs at 31 December 2010.
Children under 12 years are free if included on their parent’s membership application. Please add their names to your membership application. New memberships for juniors is $45 and renewals is $35.

Category 9 : Premium Membership (Adults and Juniors)
Premium membership is for paddlers who wish to participate at national level competition (AC competition status) or to undertake national training accreditation.
Premium membership also includes the same benefits as standard membership

New Adult Premium membership $90.00, pro rata.
Renewal Adult Premium membership is $80.00.
Junior Premium (AC competition status) new membership is $70.00, and renewals are $60.00

WELCOME KIT-
Most home contents policies will not cover you for loss or damage away from the home or have low limits on the value of boats. This could leave you out of pocket if your craft is damaged whilst in use. Paddle NSW can offer a higher standard of cover with Associated Marine Insurers Agents Pty Ltd (ABN 41 006 104 007). Compulsory Membership of PaddleNSW Inc
The boat insurance scheme is only open to current financial Members of PaddleNSW Inc. You must remain a current financial Member of PaddleNSW Inc for the boat insurance policy to remain valid and in force. You will forfeit all rights and entitlements under the boat insurance policy in the event that you cease to be a current financial Member of PaddleNSW Inc.

Helmsman Insurance Product Disclosure Statement
Your club is the backbone of organised paddling in NSW. A fee of $150.00 covers membership, a comprehensive clubs’ insurance package which includes association insurance for club officials, a club website presence, education assistance, and the opportunity to host some of the many events organised by PaddleNSW.
Certificate of Currency -
Category 3 : Single Event membership
For those paddlers who are only competing in one PaddleNSW event in the year, single event membership is available.
This gives the paddler limited insurance cover compared with full membership cover, but will fulfil the other requirements for membership for the event. This membership does not include access to ‘Premium’ membership benefits such as Australian Canoeing National Championships, National team selection, talent Identification trials and ACAS award certification.
Your event organiser will have the necessary forms available at your event, and will ask you to complete your application before you take to the water.
As this membership is processed by the event organiser, there may be a small additional fee imposed for processing over and above the minimum PaddleNSW single event membership fee of $10.00.
