PaddleNSW membership information for the 2010-2011 membership year

PaddleNSW has negotiated interim affiliation with Australian Canoeing. This means that every member of PaddleNSW will have automatic membership of Australian Canoeing. All clubs seeking membership of Australian Canoeing must do so via membership of PaddleNSW.

Membership forms for Clubs, which are known as category 2 members, are available below.

Category 1 : Single Adult and Junior paddlers

This is the largest membership group. Whether you an elite athlete, a member of a paddling club, or just a single recreational paddler, this is your membership category. You will be able to participate in any PaddleNSW activity knowing you are insured and that your paddling activity is properly conducted. PaddleNSW has many activities which will suit your paddling ability, and can offer you advice and resources as well.

You have the choice of taking standard or premium membership. Standard membership gives you access to all State-level events, as well as insurance and many other benefits. Premium membership is for paddlers who wish to participate at national level competition or to undertake national training accreditation. Currently registered coaches, instructors and officials DO NOT NEED premium membership. Non-paddling club volunteers do not need PaddleNSW Cat 1 membership.

Adult standard on-line membership renewal is $50.00  (new memberships now $35 for remainder of 2009-10 Season)

Adult Premium (AC competition status) on-line membership $80.00

Junior standard on-line membership renewal is $35.00  (new membership now $25 for remainder of 2009-10 Season) (for paddlers between 12 yrs and 17yrs at 31 December 20010).

Junior Premium (AC competition status) membership  is $60.00

Children under 12 years are free if included on their parent’s membership application.

Postal membership forms are available, but cost is an additional $5.00 over the above fees.

Category 1b Premium Membership Upgrade

If you are currently registered as a standard member and wish to upgrade to Premium status, giving you access to National Events and ACAS certification training, you can upgrade using this rego site. A new membership card will be issued to you indicating your new membership category 9

Category 2 :  Paddling Clubs

Your club is the backbone of organised paddling in NSW. A fee of $150.00 covers membership, a comprehensive insurance package which includes association insurance for club officials, a club website page and assistance with keeping it up to date! In addition, your club will be eligible to host the many events organised by PaddleNSW.

Category 3 : Single Event membership

For those paddlers who are only competing in one PaddleNSW event in the year, single event membership is available.

This gives the paddler limited insurance cover compared with full membership cover, but will fulfil the other requirements for membership for the event. This membership does not include access to ‘Premium’ membership benefits such as Australian Canoeing National Championships, National team selection trials, Talent Identification trials and ACAS award certification.

As this membership is processed by the event organiser, there may be a small additional fee imposed for processing over and above the PaddleNSW single event membership fee of $10.00
