

HARBOUR RACING

A racing series for Skis, Outriggers,
Stand-
Based in Sydney’s Harbour Waterways
Harbour Racing Inc. has been set up to provide great racing for paddlers in the Harbour areas of New South Wales in Sydney Harbour, to the North and to the South.
We will provide competitive racing for the experienced paddler and good conditions for the less experienced. Each course will be about 16 km, with a short course option, and they will vary from enclosed water to more open harbour conditions. There will be a mass start for each event.
The inaugural series will feature 5 events in about 4 months and each race will cost $30 online registration and $40 for registration on the day.
There will be categories for Open, Men 40 to 50, 50 to 60, 60plus, Several Women’s Classes plus under 19 boys and girls. All paddlers have an equal chance at the prizes as they are drawn from the hat! Medals will be awarded at the end of the series for placegetters in each category.
The event is supported by PaddleNSW, Blast Paddlers, Northbridge Kayaks, Rose Bay Time Trials and Manly Warringah Kayak Club
EVENT 1: 23rd January, 2010: The Sydney Harbour Challenge run by Balmoral Blast , including a course passing Grotto Point and Middle Head..
EVENT 2: 13th February: The Cronulla Challenge , run by Cronulla Blast, will start in Gunnamatta Bay and go out across Port Hacking.
EVENT 3: 14th March: Northbridge Challenge, run by Northbridge Baths Kayaks, starts in Sailors Bay and runs through to Bantry Bay
EVENT 4: 18th April: Rose Bay Chalenge, run by Rose Bay Time Trial, will also be a charity event featuring a course from Rose Bay to Watsons Bay past Nielsen Park. EVENT INFO
