Bay Adventure Kayakers

Batemans Bay

Bay Adventure Kayakers Inc (BAK) was registered under the Incorporations Association Act in August 2008 as a community-based club for paddlers on the New South Wales South Coast. The Batemans Bay region provides a wonderful diversity of paddling opportunities in a pristine natural environment, ranging from ocean, bay, lake and river paddling. Accordingly, club members paddle a wide diversity of craft – from sea kayaks and multisport boats to ocean skis and K1s. Bay Adventure Kayakers is dedicated to promoting the sport of kayaking at all levels for all ages in the Batemans Bay region. The club aims to encourage participation and promote family fun.

BAK welcomes new members, including juniors and novice paddlers. Club members race from Nelligen on the Clyde River most Saturday mornings throughout the year. Details of race times and distances can be obtained from the contact above. All club events are run in accordance with Australian Canoeing Safety Guidelines.

Paddlers are also welcome to join club training, which is held at various locations during the week, covering technique, distance and speed sessions. Our club coaches have Australian Canoeing qualifications and Level 2 First Aid Certificates.

BAK is affiliated with PaddleNSW, and for club events and insurance purposes, membership of this peak NSW kayaking body is necessary.
