Vale Brian "Spags" Trouville

Brian "Spags" Trouville, the 73 year old paddling and surfing mentor and former champion athlete, passed away on 19 April 2016. Brian's memorial service at Caringbah was attended by 400+ family, loved ones and friends. PaddleNSW was represented by Laura White, Yvette Graf and CEO Peter Tate. It was a fitting send-off for a highly-respected and much-loved man.

Riley caps off stellar year with gong

Outstanding PaddleNSW sprinter Riley Fitzsimmons was recently named Central Coast Sports Federation Sports Star of the Year.

Australian Canoeing (AC) confirms that Canoe Kayak athlete Tate Smith has received a two-year ban from competition following a decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) relating to three anti-doping rule violations.

SIRC News: Herbicide Treatment in the Competition Lake

After a year long political fight, SIRC is finally able to apply a Herbicide Treatment in the Competition Lake.

In an update from SIRC this week we've been advised the following:

"The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority have issued the Sydney International Regatta Centre with a Permit for Minor Use of Fluridone for suppression of Vallisneria and Hydrilla.
