Sea Kayaking Suite of Courses for Leaders and Instructors - February 2016

One very important new years resolution for all sea paddlers!  Extend you leadership skills, feel confident and be safe when leading on new waters you want to paddle.  Whether its in Jervis Bay, a paddle to Broughton island or Sydney Harbour, there is a training course designed for you.

Sea Leader or Guide Training course

Expressions of interest are called from those intersted in training for the Australian Canoeing award -Sea leading. It will be conducted at the Safe Boating Centre at Watsons Bay Sydney proposed for either Monday & Tuesday 12 & 13 October, or the following weekend Octobe 17 & 18.

SAFE KAYAK FISHING WORKSHOP - October 9

 This ourse will be conducted at the Safe Boating Education Centre at Watson's Bay Sydney on FRIDAY October 9  from  9.00 - 4.00  pm
Craft preparation, Safety equipment and planning, Kayak balance, Rescuing yourself and others, Efficient paddling and peddling, Surviving the surf zone – launching and landing, Interpreting weather forecasts and tides.

Lifejacket safety focus on Sydney's waterways - Roads and Maritime Services

Lifejacket safety will be a focus of Boating Safety Officers’ activity on Sydney’s waterways with the launch of a new campaign encouraging everyone to wear lifejackets at all times when on the water.
