WAGGA Bidgee Canoe Club members have exceeded expectations in Saturday’s Bidgee Marathon.
About 100 boats hit the water of Murrumbidgee River on Saturday where Manly-Warringah kayaker Kieran Babich took the honours in a time of one hour and 40 minutes for the 20 kilometre course.

About 15 Wagga kayakers plan to use local knowledge to full advantage at the Wagga Bidgee Marathon on Saturday.

After a year long political fight, SIRC is finally able to apply a Herbicide Treatment in the Competition Lake.
In an update from SIRC this week we've been advised the following:
"The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority have issued the Sydney International Regatta Centre with a Permit for Minor Use of Fluridone for suppression of Vallisneria and Hydrilla.

In almost perfect conditions, nearly 300 paddlers took to the water for the 2015 Myall Classic paddling race on Saturday 12th September.

A new paddling club has been established on the Central Coast NSW, in the Gosford Region.

Seems the last Classic was just a few months ago, but already we’re well into planning for the 2015 event.
Last year, the event raised nearly $6000 for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, and we hope to eclipse this amount in 2015. The cheque handover was warmly received at a morning tea at Foundation HQ, and the gratitude for your contributions was very evident.

Paddlers, mark the 12th September 2015 in your diaries as the date for the 2015 Myall Classic, an iconic ultramarathon event for all paddlers, experienced to novice, over three distances of 47km, 27km or 12km.
