Lane Cove marathon paddler Angie Lees has unofficially broken the record for longest distance paddled in 24hrs on flat water. This was achieved in horrendous conditions on the Molonglo River at BGCC headquarters alongside the annual 24hr relay marathon.

At the PaddleNSW Annual Awards Night held 13 October, hard-working official and PNSW Marathon Committee legend GAYE HATFIELD was suitably recognised as the 2013/14 PNSW Official of the Year.
Gaye continues to provide outstanding service to the Marathon paddling community, the sport and it’s ongoing development. Some of her many, many roles include:

On 13 September, nearly 300 paddlers made the journey to Tea Gardens on the Great Lakes for the 2014 Myall Classic Marathon.
A total of $6,000 has been raised this year in support of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Congratulations to all involved!

CANBERRA teen Ben Rake is off to represent Australia as an under 18 in the Canoe Marathon World Championships in Oklahoma later this month.
