NSW Paddlers go Freestyle

This summer, the Sydney freestyle kayaking community has run weekly classes for six lucky Western Sydney high school girls, teaching them the basics of freestyle kayaking. A relatively new sport, Freestyle kayaking involves kayaking in white water and trying to throw down as many tricks as possible in a white water feature – a hole or standing wave.

Please remember if you wish to take part in the 2015 Nationals you must have current Premium Paddle NSW or Australian Canoeing membership.

Lifejacket safety focus on Sydney's waterways - Roads and Maritime Services

Lifejacket safety will be a focus of Boating Safety Officers’ activity on Sydney’s waterways with the launch of a new campaign encouraging everyone to wear lifejackets at all times when on the water.
