Western Sydney University students have fun learning Canoe Polo

 PaddleNSW was once again charged with a Kayaking tutorial for 90 UWS students.

This is an example of the callibar of some of our future teachers. 

"Thanks for all your time and effort the past two weeks with teaching our group canoe/kayking"
They were asked for homework to come up with "The essence of canoe polo"

Lifejacket requirements eased for paddlers under supervision
Transport for NSW today announced changes to marine safety laws will ease requirements for some paddlers to wear lifejackets while under the supervision of experienced and accredited coaches.

Swiftwater Rescue Workshop - Nymboida July 13 & 14

 Swift Water Instructor Philip BENFIELD will be conducting a personal development workshop for personnel who are qualified in Swift Water Rescue. The workshop will be run at the Nymboida Canoe Centre.

FLOAT PLANS:

PLANNING for a TRIP: How ready are you? This picture is from one trip in NSW on the Shoalhaven which takes 3 to 4 days paddling with all of your gear & food. Your trip may be "just" a quick paddle across the local lake. It makes no difference.  Its all about being prepared. In recent years in NSW 3 paddlers came to grief on the water for reasons that are not fully explained.

Lifejacket safety focus on Sydney's waterways - Roads and Maritime Services

Lifejacket safety will be a focus of Boating Safety Officers’ activity on Sydney’s waterways with the launch of a new campaign encouraging everyone to wear lifejackets at all times when on the water.

PaddleNSW – Kayaking for Healthy Living – Exercise and Participation

PaddleNSW believe that kayaking is a great sport to assist healthy living through exercise and participation especially for those members of society who are recovering from crippling leg injuries from other sports or road running.
