2014 has certainly been a busy, exciting and positive year for PaddleNSW. A few highlights include:

The Watson’s Bay Pilot Station in Sydney Harbour has been given new life as the Boating Safety Education Centre. Lane Cove marathon paddler Angie Lees has unofficially broken the record for longest distance paddled in 24hrs on flat water. This was achieved in horrendous conditions on the Molonglo River at BGCC headquarters alongside the annual 24hr relay marathon.

Eighteen schoolies SURVIVED 40 degree heat at Dubbo by dreaming up every excuse to "fall in" to the Macquarie when attending a PaddleNSW kayak course this week. They came from Orange, Red Hill and Dubbo to work on their paddling skills to manage school programs. Ian Royds, Andrew...read more

On Saturday 15th of November a downwind ocean race was held in East London, South Africa. One of the paddlers, Mark Feather, was lost at sea during the event and was later found deceased 40 km past the finish on Monday morning.
