Last night at a formal function, PaddleNSW Slalom athlete Kiara McKay received a $1,500 athlete grant from the NSW Olympic Committee. There were 411 nominations for the grant, and we understand Kiara (aged 16) is the inaugural recipient from our sport since the program was introduced.

Brian "Spags" Trouville, the 73 year old paddling and surfing mentor and former champion athlete, passed away on 19 April 2016. We are hosting a come and try day at Penrith Whitewater Stadium for keen kids who want to get out on the water.
Kids will get the opportunity to learn how to paddle under the guidance of elite Australian respresentative paddlers.
