Flatwater Guide/Instructor with Moving Water endorsement - ORANGE 16 & 17 March

Welcome to the particioants of this course which is to be held on the Macquaire River. The exact section of river will be notified shortly..

However the participants need to consider the following pre course requirements:

After popular demand, PaddleNSW is now running another L1 Flatwater Coach Course at Narrabeen MWKC Clubhouse.

Tom Simmat wins NSW Veteran Athlete of the Year for 2011

At the NSW Sports Federation Annual Awards night on 16 February, Tom Simmat, one of PaddleNSW' two nominations, deservedly collected the 2011 Veteran Athlete of the Year award. Slalom paddler Rosalyn Lawrence, our second nomination, narrowly missed out in a hotly contested field for the Young Athlete of the Year award.

Vajda Marathon 9 Series - starts this Sat 25 February

Following a very successful series in 2011, the Vajda 2012 NSW Marathon 9 Series kicks off at Canberra on the 25th February.

Calling Instructors and Assessors

PaddleNSW has some very specific training courses coming up. You will need to be experienced in conducting courses to various client groups at various times during the week and weekend. Please forward a one page CV of your qualifications and experience to educationatpaddleNSW [dot] org [dot] au.

Calling all Young Athletes!

Assistance comes in two forms:

  1. The NSW Department of Sport and Recreation supports young PaddleNSW country members for last year’s travel expenses to get to State age Competition.   2. An Australian Government initiative managed by the Australian Sports Commission and supports 8,000 young people each year.
